Reposting for new followers or for those who may have missed this.
Itβs La Toussaint here in France today and Iβll be heading down to Bulls Road Cemetery and A.I.F Burial Ground later today to lay some Chrysanthemums.
And if you thought learning French was hard, you can always explore the local Picardy dialect.

Also spoke with some keen knitters who showed us some First World War glove designs. This unique design allowed the soldiers to continue to fire their rifles.
𧡠Lucky to have the opportunity to explore the Museum and Church in Bray-sur-Somme this morning.
Bray-sur-Somme fell into German hands during the spring offensive in March 1918, but was retaken by the 40th Battalion A.I.F. on 24 August 1918.
This beautiful memorial is found inside the churchβ¦β¦

Despite the rain earlier today, the sun has made an appearance this evening. A lovely stroll down to Bulls Road Cemetery was in order.

Life is full of twists and turns; none more so than the past few months.
Onnwards and upwards.
Off to celebrate 14 July π«π· in Warloy-Ballion tomorrow. But joining in the 10km walk first.
If you need a photo of a headstone from the CWGC cemetery, let me know and Iβll do my best to help.
Hasnβt this woman gone through enough? My faith in humanity is diminishing fast. Disgusting behaviour from Paris Match.

In a somewhat chaotic world that we live in at the moment, I took time to stop and pause at Caterpillar Valley Cemetery this morning.
These service men made the ultimate sacrifice for what was suppose to be βThe war to end all wars.β
Will we ever learn?

My traineeβs summation on the present state of things: βitβs like weβre living in an episode of Black Mirror crossed with the Handmaids Taleβ.
Scaryβ¦β¦β¦but sadly true!
Interesting letter from RSL Victoria. I believe that Anzac services should be the responsibility of the DVA, and the RSL should be allowed to get on with what was always its original intention - serve the veterans. Thoughts?
