Is it just me or do you think we need to play a quicker more transition based game with our players ? These are not Rodri,Gundo,Bernardo, Grealish with KDB picking locks or scoring winners. The thousand passes just doesn't suit our current crop imo .

The fact that Savinho is an old style left winger who primarily prefers to go outside , well it didn't hinder Sane 🤷.
As for Lewis ,in a functioning team, he offers more than Nunes. He can invert and he also doesn't have the 'bozo' moments that Nunes has.

Surely after 10 minutes you swap Mcatee wide right and push Lewis inside ?? Plus if you play Haaland surely you need Savinho left , Doku right and feed him quickly ??

We're not ,but we do have players who can play that style . Savinho left , Doku right , Haaland, Marmoush, Foden , Mcatee, Nico G . Kev ,Bernardo ,Gundo are not the players they were but Pep still thinks they are the 2022 versions of themselves. Painfully slow thousand passes football.

Been out longer than Stones 😂. Still think Savinho would be more comfortable on the left ( see him trying to manipulate his body for his shots v Brighton). I think Doku ( given a few games) would be just as effective on the right. Both need a run of consecutive games in the positions though.

Biggest issue is being on the wrong side of the pitch!! We're expecting end product with them using their wrong foot or trying to manipulate the ball onto their good foot (see Savinho yesterday) . Grealish and Bernardo worked because we didn't expect end product just endless recycling of the ball.

Agree. Would like Pep to stop trying to turn Savinho and Doku into Robben and Ribery though . Just play them on their natural sides and hit Erling earlier !

Doku & Savinho must have been drooling for just a quarter of that space . Forest full backs basically stood on Doku and Savinho toes for the full match and a midfielder cut the cut inside out !
