Skill issue of all skill issues, but compounding with the other problem it's like... I have to wade through 5 mins of weak enemies I ALREADY beat in Beginner to get to the challenge, then I make one mistake and fall off the edge and have to start over. Unfun. #ColinToX
I don't like how singles has no walls. It's great to knock enemies off the platform, makes things easier, but a single move will end your attempt. Leia has so many moves that send herself flying and I press guard every time I get knocked airborne on instinct... #ColinToX
I already proved I can beat that. Now I have to prove it again? It just makes the fight so much longer, which is the point of course, but not in a fun way at all, especially for the Group battle which takes 15+ minutes because everything is a damage sponge. #ColinToX
I'm at the end game doing sidequests and the Coliseum and I really truly hate how you have to win at the Beginner Tier at the Coliseum in order to unlock Advanced, but then the Advanced Tier still makes you run through the Beginner tier enemies. #ColinToX
Last night I got my first Devil's Arms. The bosses are getting quite long... I felt the same with Graces f and now Xillia, but I don't feel like I've had this with most Tales games? That might be a me thing because I don't think, say, Zestiria's are measurably shorter #ColinToX

Maxwell was fun with the elemental switching. I will never learn to just put on a 100% XP boost for bosses even if it means throwing an attempt; I only had 30% on for him, but with all the cutscene interruptions I wasn't sure when was a good time! #ColinToX
I can't believe I'm saying it but Presa & Agria might have been the toughest boss? I had 2 legit, 10+min deep deaths from getting stunlocked by overlapping spells. I did not adjust Strategy to make my CPUs split up at all so I didn't really give them respect ig #ColinToX
I wish Numazu in the Mirage DLC ever went on sale on switch because I'd love to revisit it

I lost the Alvin 1v1... got him to about half but the conditions were bugging me so I spent on item on a panacea and got punished with a 60->dead combo. Impatience got me. I feel like a fraud that was so winnable. #ColinToX
So much happens so fast. Lots of cutscenes. Sadly some of the outcomes of this fall into what I know from ToX2 but I'm mixed on the execution either way.

This sequence (which is quite good, I think. Pretty late for the big twist but it was very exciting) is as far as my friends and I got, so from here on I'm pretty much spoiler free, other than what I know about Xillia 2 which semi-spoils some things. Excited! #ColinToX
Good news: I beat the Nachtigal, the Chimeriad, and Gaius first try. Bad news is for the latter 2 fights, i only had a 15% XP boost. If I had lost the Chimeriad fight once I could have equipped a 100% boost and been 2 levels higher after all of these cutscenes. #ColinToX

it's quite unbelievable btw that Elize has a skill that gives her 3x XP the rest of the party. I haven't had it that long and she's already 5 levels ahead. with how important levels are in this game it's kind of game breaking LOL #ColinToX
and that the benefits of linking (building meter, skills, controlling the AI a bit) far outweigh the benefits of staying unlinked (just letting the AI have some leash, basically). There are times I want to spread out, but that means no meter and that sucks #ColinToX
I really like linking; I'm a huge armatus fan and it's not quite at that level, but same concept of giving you team moves. My issues with the implementation are 1) the link skills mostly being nice little bonuses, except Leia which is virtually required for some fights #ColinToX
I say DPS race but it took 13.5 minutes.
My gripe with enemies using items is that the clear counter to them (linking with Leia) requires that I not be using Leia. I get that they want to incentivize swapping characters, which I like in theory but... idk. #ColinToX
Agria was not as bad as she could have been. She got one massive Lemon Gel off (I hate bosses that heal) and it's SO difficult to interrupt her summoning of adds (hate that too) unless you have a linked arte ready, but she's squishy enough that I could DPS race #ColinToX
Wingul & Presa is a great boss fight. Not quite so difficult that you have to grind or cheese, but complex enough you have to approach it thoughtfully. I sandbagged 2 or 3 short attempts just to scope out a strategy, and won pretty easily when I committed #ColinToX
