Honestly, in our case, many of the family items given to us are things they didn't want anymore. So we're keeping the truly special, and sharing the rest. For example, we really don't need four canning kettles, twenty florist's vases and two boxes of mismatched cutlery.

You sound like great cat dad! It's possible he's afraid he'll lose his home. He trusts you, but going outside might trigger instinctive anxiety. I knew a cat who'd been abandoned & the 1st time at the kennel, she was petrified. After realizing she was always going home again, she was just mad.

I think that means he completely trusts you and feels safe. He instinctively knows he doesn't have to be on alert all the time, even when asleep. They still keep those instincts, even when they're not feral and aren't at risk.

Thanks so much. The debate rages on about how important covers are to a book. I think they play a big role. I've been so disappointed with some of the covers my traditional publishers have created, which is one if the many reasons I'm doing Indie as well.

Thanks. The poems are a mix, but I wouldn't say any are really dark. A number on grief and loss of different kinds, but not grim. I'm still waiting for a couple more cover suggestions, but I agree, the one on the right seems best. The new ones would have to totally wow me.
