A noble goal. One I have.... historically not had much luck with π
06.05.2025 01:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Cool, thanks! Foaming TPU is a new material for me, I'll have to try a spool and try it!
06.05.2025 00:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's pretty amazing! Any tips for getting them to bond?
05.05.2025 04:27 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yoo very exciting, congrats!
05.05.2025 04:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A trick someone once showed me for designing light pipes was to make all of the interior surfaces as white and reflective as possible, to reflect as much light out in the direction you want as you can. If you can switch to white PCBs (or paint them!) that might work here too!
16.04.2025 05:39 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0picture of a PCB panel on the right and the assembled resistance decade on the left, in the form of a rectangular base plate with connection holes, and three gear-shaped discs with scales on, cone-shaped
A coworker had the idea of making this resistance decade, then somebody decided to make a whole bunch of them and hand them out at different locations (and at customers).
And now the gerber files are available for download! [β¦]

This build is ridiculous (in the best way)
04.03.2025 23:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hard to tell who this is actually for, isn't it? We joke about a Leica M having ergonomics "like a bar of soap" but this takes that to a whole new level
24.02.2025 17:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ehh reference points for round things is what I have the most trouble with π Not really sure what the best option is!
24.02.2025 17:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Huh, I've never tried to do an operation like it. What is the sketch anchored to? Plane offset from the center of the rod?
24.02.2025 15:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Was the force with you?
24.02.2025 05:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh nice!
24.02.2025 04:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Which part did you choose for the PD negotiation stuff?
24.02.2025 02:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Are you a net promoter?
21.02.2025 22:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Haha ok, cool! I have a growing pile of PLA poop and this seems like a fun use for it!
21.02.2025 16:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow, great use of scrap! Are you doing anything special to melt it down?
21.02.2025 00:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0One of those weird things you don't buy the printer for, that end up being extremely useful
15.02.2025 12:39 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ha, that's a clever comparison!
15.02.2025 12:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wow, that is a magic bean I haven't seen in a long time. Is it still usable?
15.02.2025 10:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh yeah, I think I've seen this on Amazon before. Agree looks promising, I always wonder if the wheel will work though
15.02.2025 10:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Roll with it
14.02.2025 17:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Maybe still a market opportunity for weird input devices here then π
14.02.2025 16:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh interesting! If the wheel can do all those different things it seems like maybe a good option. Did you actually use it?
13.02.2025 15:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I think the second interpretation is the best I got, but I also wasn't sure.
04.02.2025 11:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Same, same. I recommend the books though! It's a very cool universe
03.02.2025 15:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Can we elect it to public office yet?
02.02.2025 13:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0PCB and schematic diff and merge tools for git?!?!?
02.02.2025 11:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Great suggestion, thanks!
02.02.2025 00:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How do you find meetups or groups that do this? Is there a magic keyword to search for?
