A noble goal. One I have.... historically not had much luck with πŸ˜†

Cool, thanks! Foaming TPU is a new material for me, I'll have to try a spool and try it!

That's pretty amazing! Any tips for getting them to bond?

Yoo very exciting, congrats!

A trick someone once showed me for designing light pipes was to make all of the interior surfaces as white and reflective as possible, to reflect as much light out in the direction you want as you can. If you can switch to white PCBs (or paint them!) that might work here too!

A coworker had the idea of making this resistance decade, then somebody decided to make a whole bunch of them and hand them out at different locations (and at customers).

And now the gerber files are available for download! […]

This build is ridiculous (in the best way)

Hard to tell who this is actually for, isn't it? We joke about a Leica M having ergonomics "like a bar of soap" but this takes that to a whole new level

Ehh reference points for round things is what I have the most trouble with πŸ˜† Not really sure what the best option is!

24.02.2025 17:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Huh, I've never tried to do an operation like it. What is the sketch anchored to? Plane offset from the center of the rod?

Was the force with you?

24.02.2025 05:09 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Oh nice!

Which part did you choose for the PD negotiation stuff?

24.02.2025 02:33 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Are you a net promoter?

21.02.2025 22:13 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Haha ok, cool! I have a growing pile of PLA poop and this seems like a fun use for it!

21.02.2025 16:07 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Wow, great use of scrap! Are you doing anything special to melt it down?

21.02.2025 00:20 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

One of those weird things you don't buy the printer for, that end up being extremely useful

15.02.2025 12:39 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Ha, that's a clever comparison!

15.02.2025 12:35 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Wow, that is a magic bean I haven't seen in a long time. Is it still usable?

15.02.2025 10:54 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Oh yeah, I think I've seen this on Amazon before. Agree looks promising, I always wonder if the wheel will work though

15.02.2025 10:48 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Roll with it

14.02.2025 17:18 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Maybe still a market opportunity for weird input devices here then πŸ˜‰

14.02.2025 16:28 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Oh interesting! If the wheel can do all those different things it seems like maybe a good option. Did you actually use it?

13.02.2025 15:53 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

I think the second interpretation is the best I got, but I also wasn't sure.

Same, same. I recommend the books though! It's a very cool universe

03.02.2025 15:10 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Can we elect it to public office yet?

02.02.2025 13:17 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

PCB and schematic diff and merge tools for git?!?!?

02.02.2025 11:48 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Great suggestion, thanks!

02.02.2025 00:22 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

How do you find meetups or groups that do this? Is there a magic keyword to search for?
