It's almost that time of year. Yes, it's a fur hat. Fake fur is not as warm and windproof as real fur. Screw PETA. They kill more than 80% of all the animals they claim to save.

These are salt sticks, a once common bakery staple in NYC and New Jersey. I haven't been able to find any in Brooklyn or Manhattan in the last ten years. I had to take a three hour train trip to Reinholds Quality Bakery in Waldwick, NJ. They were worth the trip.

When things start to get overwhelming, stop, breathe, and find the beauty in your surroundings.
