NM House committee advances bill to ban immigrant detention in NM • Source New Mexico A New Mexico House committee voted 4-2 to advance a bill that prohibits public bodies from signing immigrant-detention contracts.

New Mexico shouldn't become a warehouse for ICE detainees. Contact your state legislators and let them know you support NM House Bill 9, the Immigrant Safety Act to prohibit public agencies from helping ICE detain individuals for federal civil immigration violations.
