What's most interesting about her, in my opinion, is that she becomes less "helpful" in certain areas as you grow closer. At first it's strictly business but then she is reluctant to help and advise in certain areas or quests because her true motivations now conflict with someone she cares about. 🐉

I think it's supposed to be "misdirection".

He's supposed to come off as a villain with a sinister tone and attitude. The narrative twist is he's (more or less) on our side.

Like the opposite of a twist-villian, a twist-hero if you will.

Also every time I hear Chris Pratt as Mario in the animated films it just takes me out.

I'm sorry, he is not Mario.

I think he is a very good and talented television and film actor but not a good voice actor. Even in the LEGO Movie, he is kinda just playing Andy from Parks & Rec, in LEGO form.

I used to rent it every other week as a kid and watch it from beginning to end! My very first comfort movie!

It actually review pretty decently back in its day but it was a disappointment at the box office. Its reputation more the result of Nintendo trying to distance itself from the final product.

Hot take but I actually enjoy the 1993 live action "adaptation" over the more recent, animated, movie. It's weird, it's campy, it's sloppy, but it's fun!

The animated movies we've gotten more recently feel more like a hodgepodge of easter eggs and references crammed into the vague shape of a movie.
