A large plastic toy insect lying upside-down on the shingle of the foreshore.

The same insect, now the correct way up, on a piece of driftwood. It has 6 legs and appears to be a bee (because of its striped abdomen).

A cartoonish green plastic praying mantis, lying upside-down on the Thames foreshore, its legs sprawled in all directions.

It was 'giant insect day' when I visited this particular foreshore. Both of these creatures were upside-down and unable to right themselves, so I helped them up and gave them a log to steady themselves. I have now rehoused them in a less tidal habitat -around one of the street trees in my road.

...my coworkers seem hostile and the managers are some of the strictest I've ever seen. The GM is constantly judging you. I feel like I'm being picked on constantly. I've started applying to other places. For the first time ever, I don't like a job because of my coworkers. It's not fun 2B there.

This new job I have isn't really working out. While I love what I'm doing, I feel like I'm walking on egg shells. If I so much as blink the wrong way, one of the managers says something. It feels like I can't get anything right despite me trying my best, there's always a fault....

There's one coworker of mine, she thinks I keep messing up the files. I'm not. I find files in the wrong place too. I'm also not the only 'new' person there. But bc I'm newer, I'm the problem. I hate working with her. Today I was working the floor, let's see if any folders get messed up.

I haven't been on here in a hot minute so here's the update. Got a job, loved it. Lost the job because the person I was supposed to be replacing didn't leave so they didn't need me. Been on 5 interviews in 3 weeks, rejected on all, last one ghosted me. Had a mental breakdown.

Anyway here's Nutmeg:
