Katastrophen werden in unserer Zeit vor allem als Bilder konsumiert und scheinen stets woanders stattzufinden. Der Zuschauer verliert sich in den Bildern, wird zugleich zum Beobachter und unmerklich Teil des Systems, das diese Bilder hervorbringt. Die zentrale Frage lautet daher: Was bedeutet es, Katastrophen zu betrachten, ohne selbst betroffen zu sein?
