The Pittsfield DCCC at Hot Plate Brewing Co. ROCKED yesterday! Pittsfield has been the city of firsts for our campaign. Our first meet and greet was there, our first canvass was there, and my first speech as a candidate was at the Pittsfield No Kings rally. Much love to you all!
People often look at me and ask, “How do you do it?” The truth is I don’t do it alone. I have an incredible team of intelligent, hardworking people behind me, many of whom are women who offer not just support for the campaign, but guidance in life.

Once we got to Easthampton, Ellen jumped greeted guests, educated people about signature collection, and helped facilitate discussion. And that’s not even mentioning the scheduling, graphic design, and the other behind the scenes efforts that make days like this possible.

From that moment on, she would be by my side. First Ludlow caucus, then Pittsfield, and Easthampton for a house party. She coordinated volunteers as our amazing Field Director, edited photos while I gave speeches, and helped respond to calls and texts while on the road.

Today, like most days, was a long one. I was about to hop in the shower at 8 AM when I saw Lizzie’s car pull up to my house. Coming from Monson, I know she must have been up by at least 6 AM to get there.

There are so many things I’m proud of in this campaign, but one I’m especially proud of is the coalition of badass women I have the privilege of working with. This campaign honestly would not be as successful as it is without the women around me.

It’s one thing to ignore me, but it’s another to repeatedly ignore the hard work of the delegates, municipal leaders, and state officials who show up day after day. I’m disappointed, but I’m not surprised.

As I gave my speech today, I looked out at a crowd of familiar faces, people I see again and again showing up for their communities. Why? Because they care. They care about their neighbors, and they care about the nation.

In fact, we had people all over the district, from Sturbridge to Great Barrington to North Adams. I started the morning in Southwick. In South Hadley, my friend Marie, a retired nurse, stood side by side with a Mount Holyoke student. Showing up matters.

My congressman couldn’t be bothered to show up for the Springfield caucus today in his own backward. Gov. Maura Healey was there. Sen. Ed Markey was there. State Auditor Diana DiZoglio was there. And my team and I were there too.

When my brother fell ill and I didn’t have the capacity to be as present as I would have liked during negotiations, the union was there to be a voice for me when I didn’t have one.
Unions are a true demonstration of the power of people, and I love my people! 🙌
The Northampton Association of School Employees has been part of my life since my very first day of teaching.
In both the communications and delegate roles, I looked out for the wellbeing of my fellow educators and understood the true power of the union when I needed it most.
Road trip! Brought ma to Mass General for her checkups, happy to say all her tests came back great! What an amazing staff at MGH, literally life savers and all so kind and compassionate. Celebrating with a little dinner 😊
