Merweh is a grape that has been blended with others for white wines, here the winemaker is at the front of the trend to make 100% from just Merweh. The wines are usually full-bodied and have flavours of citrus and nuts. Back in the day, Merwah was grown on the terraces of Mount Lebanon.

The indigenous grape, Merweh, comes from vines that are 150yrs old which is a challenge few winemakers have the joy at being able to work with and over come. The older a vine gets the less yield they produce, this can give potency to them as the vine strives to make the best grapes it can.
