It’s rich, bold, and concentrated style, the blend is approximately 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Its flavor profile is a harmonious blend of blackberry, blackcurrant, and other dark fruits, complemented by hints of leather, sweet spices, and chocolate.

β€œFrom Uruguay” is just the flashy clickbait for a stunning AlbariΓ±o. Refreshing/mineral/saltiness/balanced acidity. Pear, melon, apricot, with white flowers and lemon adding a touch of sweetness. It’s medium-bodied with a smooth texture, and it has a subtle weight from the lees but critically no oak

this wine is beyond question in heritage but most importantly flavour. That flavour was the stand out for me, there is a power and concentration of fruit that elevates above what a usual Rhone classic like CNDP produces. Hand picked and first sorted in the vineyards,

One of the advantages to being an independent wine merchant is that we can instantly influence the wines we get on the shelves. Just a few weeks ago on a trip to the southern Rhone i had the pleasure of visiting @domaine_chante_cigale in Chateau Neuf Du Pape.

he palate is smooth and elegant, with refined tannins from skin maceration, offering flavors of apricot, pear, and hints of saltiness and minerality.

Here the Skin is a result of techniques that predate these old vines, the winemaker is fermented in large terracotta jars for four months on skins to give a full and expressive style. A light amber wine that boasts a floral nose, notes of orange blossoms, jasmine, and tea. T

The vines would climb up olive and fig trees, which were also grown there, giving protection from hot sunny days. The similarity to Semillon is very clear and further proves areas like the Bekka Valley can mimic Bordeaux terroir better than any other spot on the planet.

Merweh is a grape that has been blended with others for white wines, here the winemaker is at the front of the trend to make 100% from just Merweh. The wines are usually full-bodied and have flavours of citrus and nuts. Back in the day, Merwah was grown on the terraces of Mount Lebanon.

The indigenous grape, Merweh, comes from vines that are 150yrs old which is a challenge few winemakers have the joy at being able to work with and over come. The older a vine gets the less yield they produce, this can give potency to them as the vine strives to make the best grapes it can.

elegant, mineral, and crisp acidity. After aging in oak barrels, this Pinot Noir is filled with delightful savory notes, dark cherries, plum, and a hint of cracked pepper. The tannins are soft and silky, like a plush, ripe red fruit, and the finish is smooth and elegant.

A refreshing and creamy Cremant, with notes of white fruits, elegant minerality, and delightful brioche notes on the finish. This is what you serve when the Prosecco turns flat, elegant bubbles for miles and a fantastic flavour balance, you won’t regret it

100% Sauvignon Blanc but look at the colour, slightly cloudy, offers an aromoma of peach, tropical fruits, and buttery notes. On the palate, it displays a lively and textured character, with flavors of orange peel, mandarin, and lime. The finish is zesty and refreshing, balanced by natural acidity.
