Update. I tried putting no hashtags on a post today. Zero likes and views. I am thinking that perhaps the hashtags matter.

The flipped flag is a sign that the country is in dire distress. Millions losing their health care, the biggest transfer of wealth from the lower and midddle classes to help billionaires buy another yacht, people so ashamed of their job abducting families off the street that they hide their faces.

I have not had any increase in views with or without hashtags - so I use them anyway. Just trying to steer people of like mind to my content.
