I wrote a backstory for one of my OCs and it ended up being 14 pages on Google Docs…I had someone review/proof read it and they left over 300 comments on it…
I did ask them to be brutally honest but FUCK
They were really nice though about it afterwards

(Officially start on August 10th) so I have a little bit of time to really think about it. I have interests in both but really it comes down to what I truly want to do for my career. I do know that I want to be a psychologist rather than a psychiatrist or a therapist, that’s where I’m at though lol
I just got accepted into college but it’s for a bachelors in psych. I know NOTHING about college so I’m definitely going to be reaching out to my advisor/person that helps me out. I’m really weighing the differences because I’m very interested in both. Thankfully classes don’t start until the fall +
But I also have a lot of interest in the forensic side of psychology and how that all affects how people act, why they do what they do, what goes on in their heads while they do it, etc.
I have a few months to decide, but I’m still trying to weigh the differences because I am interested in both.
Ooo ok, thank you! This is very helpful. I have interests in medicine as well as how different forms of therapy and such affects the brain as well as the overall mental health of people using those resources. I don’t want to be a psychiatrist, that’s not for me, I’m more into the research aspect. +
