A big difference between Republicans and Democrats is that Republicans understand the science of political communication. Republicans dictate the topics/terms of debate while Dems (and the left) usually burn energy in constant response.
Thiel and Co call this mimetics, Lakoff calls it framing.
Since men have done such a shit job of running this country for the first 250 years, I suggest letting women run it for the next 250 years. At the end of their tenure we can decide who’s better at this.
"His true desire, it seems, wasn’t to simply become the president of the United States, but to become the single most enduring representation of America itself."

At least hundreds of millions of dollars in research grants have been lost since January. This scientist, who studies violence against marginalized communities, is now suing the NIH.

Wish we could have been there but joined the Chicago protest....just a tad bigger lol
Noem’s Goons crossed the reddest of red lines by attacking and handcuffing a U.S. Senator. In times past Senators of both parties would have rallied behind their fellow Senator and called Noem and her henchmen into the Senate to demand their resignations. MAGA Senators will do nothing.

Sounds like the administration might be tempted to simply blame every disaster on DOGE. Not so fast, guys. Who handed that group the keys to *everything* in the first place?

Who is Leonard Leo?
He's a lawyer, but he's never argued a case in court. He's never held elected office. But for years he rebuilt the American legal system, resulting in the Supreme Court's right-wing supermajority.

Oh, no biggie, just the President of the United States having a chuckle over D Day, suggesting that it was not a good day for Germany.
Merz corrected him— actually, no, D-Day marks the LIBERATION of Germany from Nazi dictatorship. A good day.
Sir, for the love of goddesses, READ A HISTORY BOOK.

That any of us have to care about the messy breakup of these two massive narcissists — and that they both individually wield such massive power — is an indictment of our political system and further proves the poisonous influence of Big Money on our democracy.
In amongst all the excitement I fear many have missed this outstanding bit of trolling by Friedrich Merz.
The Chancellor gifted Trump a gilded framed copy of his grandfather’s German birth certificate... reminding Americans that Trump is both the child and grandchild of migrants.
New: A DOGE staffer developed an AI tool to review Veterans Affairs contracts.
But there was a slight hitch.
It hallucinated the size of those deals.
For example, it concluded that more than a thousand contracts were each worth $34M, when in fact some were for as little as $35,000.
This might be the most foolish decision by a government since the acceptance of the Trojan horse. 🤦🏻♀️

The meeting didn't magically "turn contentious" and it was Trump who made the "false genocide claims," rhetoric that is part of the playbook of the racist right. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/05...
If you’re still up at 1AM tonight after the Timberwolves game, you can tune into C-SPAN to watch an important hearing on the GOP tax scam bill. GOP leaders chose the dead of night, because their bill would take away health care from nearly 14 million Americans.
Klinefelter syndrome can come from more than two X chromosomes. There are other intersex biological possibilities. And XYY aneuploidies.
