Ashia Davis, a black trans woman in Michigan, was murdered execution style by a teenager who was charged for his crime, but if she had lived and he had not, she would be the one serving time. Even if you are charged for killing us, defending ourselves is seen as just as bad or worse.

What you'll notice about these women is that neither are white. White trans women are subjected to escalated degrees of violence far out of the normal range of violence against cis people but black trans women are targeted in terrifying numbers compared even to us.
