Why does the claim even exist that it was the "great famine" that wiped out Ireland's population, a famine that lasted but 7 years tops, when the population chart above clearly shows a rapidly declining population spanning an entire century?
Something doesn't add up.

Why won't Labour:?

Increase minimum wage beyond the real living wage.
Make it track the RLW + a few %.
Pass alongside related protections for workers.

This will reduce poverty, reduce the benefits bill and tax billionaires indirectly...

That is exactly why headlines and the picture often do not match with the article's conclusions at all.
It's a form of divisive brainwashing: those who expend a tiny amount of effort, research and thought know it's shite, those who glance and superficially absorb get filled with shite...

There's an easy way to tax billionaires, without directly taxing billionaires, that also reduces poverty, particularly people in work but also claiming benefits:

Raise the minimum wage to above the living wage.

The UK gov can only promise to make electricity cheaper (reserved) for private Scottish data centre companies, but not for Scottish domestic customers, apparently.
I stress they *could* receive cheaper electricity.
