@Front_lex. just secured a historic win in the Hamoudi case, a major step forward that shows there is hope in standing up against Frontex. But legal progress doesn’t keep someone alive day to day. Karim needs immediate, material support right now so he can survive long enough to see justice
Any asylum seeker stranded in Libya is in danger of being arrested. But that danger becomes certainty when people are intercepted at sea with the help of Frontex, abducted and forced into detention centres where they are exposed to crimes against humanity.
Since the case was filed in 2024, Karim has been forced to move shelters more than 35 times. The judges still haven’t declared that Frontex’s pullback operations are unlawful, a declaration that will help Karim escape Libya and protect his life. Each day of delay is another day he has to hide.
Karim is a young asylum seeker from Sudan. He is trapped in Libya living under constant threat of abduction, extortion, & arbitrary detention by armed groups. Karim has been diagnosed with diabetes and needs consistent care,medication,and safe access to food
