@rosawagstaff.bsky.social is a second year PhD student studying environmental science, specifically looking at microbial response 🦠 to algae-derived dissolved organic carbon in freshwater lakes, using #eDNA 🧬. Rosa is based at UKCEH and Lancaster University.

We process our monitoring samples in a variety of ways, which include #phenotypic testing for #AMR, as well as using #molecular methods such as #qPCR and #sequencing to look for specific antimicrobial resistance genes 🦠🧬👩🔬🧫
