BL written by queer men is just so DIFFERENT. The characters feel like actual humans instead of stereotypes. There’s actual depth to the relationships. And it jsut doesn’t have that filth of fetishization that (most) BL written by straight women does.

Reading some fluff rn to calm down. Gods I can’t even touch the BL webtoon/manwha scene without feeling like a piece of meat for some straight girls to drool over.

I find it hard to enjoy most BL media because it is so obviously fetishizing and sexualizing the concept of two men being attracted to each other. Especially when written by straight women.

I just want to see two boys in love. I want to be more than a sex object.

I don’t like how prevalent sexual abuse is in BL. It’s hard to find a good BL without it. And rape scenes of gay men are called “hot” and “freaky” rather than disturbing and upsetting.
