Kristi Noem is the anti-hero of a Netflix limited series with a plot so exaggerated it is laughable. And I guess that must be part of the point. It is so surreal it’s hard to believe.

If you ask yourself “What has Kristi Noem become famous for?” — it is quite a long and varied list. Of largely difficult-to-imagine-doing-yourself-they-are-so-weird-or-awful things.

We are gonna need some different democrats real fast, I do not really care what their party name will be.

US actions were absolutely responsible for this, no matter what fired the weapon. This would not have happened without US instigation.

Because not everyone actually wants to fake evidence and lie to judges. The way these systems work is by entrapping and implicating people and making them feel they have no choice or personal responsibility

The way Bondi is doing this is a particularly ugly little detail of authoritarian leaders, I guess. The power to selectively stop ethics investigations gives the DOJ the ability to threaten and manipulate their own employees, should someone ever have a conscience

Why does it matter? “DOJ is required to consider and respond to the comments submitted. They may not prevent the rule from taking effect, but they will be part of the official record when the rule is (inevitably) challenged in court. Please consider taking this small step..”
