Works That Inspired Trucker 2056, #6: Games by Warren Spector. While Sid Meier is the more direct influence, I’ve tried to channel some of the magic from my favourite Spector titles too. Highlighting Ultima VII here—its writing and world-building are still pretty much unsurpassed to this day.

Wow. Just wow. This is probably my favourite game of all time and it's truly wonderful to see people still playing and improving on it. Now, if we only could get fully finished Serpent Isle ...
😍 I did the initial sketching in OmniGraffle, then moved on to testing and optimization directly in-engine (Godot). That said, there’s still a lot to do to make the economy truly dynamic and balanced, and I might return to the drawing board now that the rest of the game’s in decent shape.

As someone working on a relatively niche game and new to (indie) game development, I’m genuinely interested—if you’re open to sharing.
I haven’t played it yet, but it does seem like a niche title for sure. That said, the reviews are excellent. What would you consider the upper limit for initial sales for a game like this? Or put differently, what would have counted as a success in your eyes?

I take it you're supposed to enter the archway, so the one on the right emphasizes that way better. Also, love the foreground!
