What I liked the most about that series was the major plot twist in that while Carman was an expert thief, she was the protagonist instead of a villainess, plus it was full of nods to the game shows and Saturday morning cartoon 🙂

Interestingly enough, the last Carmen Sandiego series was made in Canada, and Player was Canadian

It was just sad that Baloo had been killed off before the point in the timeline, but it explained Kit and Molly being older

That was so her story was more true to what the comics told even if they retconned her to going missing on the Moon. Plus in the episode that crossed over with TaleSpin characters, it was established that Della and Kit Cloudkicker were classmates in flight school.

But if you think about it, the original DuckTales series was based on the Uncle Scrooge comics. That's why the reboot put him in a red outfit, because that's what he wore in the comics.

Della had previously been mentioned only in one comic book, as a pilot who went missing. The show based her design on the image that comic book showed and as further homage, she was a licensed pilot.

It was one of the very few reboots I found better than the original
1. It told a much deeper story
2. It was more inclusive to the Disney Afternoon universe (Darkwing Duck being an ally, Don Karnage as a reoccurring villain, Goofy in his Goof Troop attire, etc)
3. It brought Della to animation!
