Ohhh, okay! I always forget the Jayvik hashtag because I only draw Jayvik, but maybe I should start tagging again 😬

The golden swirls will not be gold-printed, but the rest will remain gold 😔

The printing company also keeps telling me that they cannot guarantee 100% printing on the underlying motif, and that this may result in misalignment...
I'll probably just do the font, little stars, and the 18+ icon in gold (and the back a little bit) so that it looks ok :(

I also think that they use a specific printing technique that is not compatible with curved elements like a spine. It is a hardcover, though! They do not offer gold printing for softcover books at all.
I'm afraid that it won't look so good if parts of the gold print are on top of the fake gold.

I know how to do it with a laminator and gold foil! But I can't put a book cover through a laminator :(
Or I would have to do it by hand with a special hot pen and gold foil, but then many people would have to wait even longer for their books 😔

I try to draw every day, but it's no more than 1–2 hours when I have to go to the office! When I work from home (and save myself the commute), I can manage 3–4 hours and on weekends sometimes even the whole day :)
Playground itself, wow, I have no idea, hours upon hours! I honestly can't tell...

And I'm pretty sure I've seen books that have gold lettering on the spine...

Printing company rant...
Apparently, it is not possible to make gold printing bleed to the edge (or on the spine of the book??) – now I am forced to not make the gold lines gold... I hope it will still look nice, but what is the point of gold elements if I can't make them gold? 😭

I, being a fool, usually draw around speech bubbles. And now that I have to change the font for the A4 version, I also have to readjust the speech bubbles, and what a surprise: now I have to edit all the parts!!
