Took the Cougar Crest Trail up to its intersection with the #PacificCresttrail .

The Seaway Aimery 7 visited Providence. Likely laying cables to the off-shore wind turbines now that a court has allowed work to resume. https://www.seaway7.com/vessels/seaway-aimery/
It is hard to overstate how critical @ncar-ucar.bsky.social is to climate science in the US and around the world. It's the beating heart of our field. Generations of scientists have trained there, and almost everyone I know relies on deep collaborations with NCAR scientists. It's end is unthinkable.
Not surprised that Brown University didn't make the cut in the Princeton Review's listing of Green Colleges: www.princetonreview.com/college-rank...
"Dismissive" is a very good description.

Starting field trials of enhanced rock weathering (ERW) to remove atmospheric carbon dioxide (CDR).
Joy.
It's official:
-2025 is now a more threatening year for the survival of the republic than 1968.
-John Roberts will now go down in history as a worse chief justice than Roger "Dred Scott" Taney.

Video of my talk about "Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Removal: A Physical Science Perspective" is up: youtu.be/OMN1B76MPpk?...
Indeed. Earlier this summer, the White House did this to me, as a scientific expert source in media, and issued a formal statement regarding my personal campaign contribution history in an attempt to discredit my commentary on wildfire, climate, and federal policy. Yet more alarm bells ringing...
Climate science is the most significant scientific collaboration in history, and its lessons are a massive human achievement. “How We Came To Know Earth,” our new series, is a guide to the modern understanding of fundamental climate science. www.quantamagazine.org/series/clima...
Hiked 450 miles of the #pacificcresttrail thru the state of Washington last month. This tread will have some photos in chronological order. First up: Bridge of the Gods across the Columbia River.
The Wise Use Agenda itself is an enormous rabbit hole (which you too can fall into here www.documentcloud.org/documents/13...).
On its face, it doesn't seem too bad... "enough food, clothing, shelter and jobs for all mankind to live in humane conditions" ok sure
