The left side of the shawl is scrunched up so the yellowish sun isnt clearly visible. The new peachy toned sun is completed. The main colour of the shawl is turquoise with thin rows of this colour running through the larger bands of the sun

At the right there are balls and skeins of yarn.

Same areangement of yarn and knitting but zoomed in so most of the yellow sun is out of frame.

The main focus is the peachy tones with the turquoise surrounding and running through the sun.

Sweater knitting progress. Lilac heart lace has grown and the ball of yarn thats attached is almost used up.

The hearts in the lace are a bit difficult to see but once it has been blocked the design will be easier to see.

Blocking in this sense means wetting the garment and laying it out to dry. The lace is gently stretched open during the process which makes it lie flat and the patterns are easy to see

Ive almost used up my first skein. I misread how many rows i had to knit before i separated the front & back. So yesterday there were some very tense moments as i put in a lifeline & ripped back 4 rows 😂 #knitsky 🧶

Finished shawl is arranged in a scrunched up spiral against a white background.

The colours are a bright cheerful progression from purple to pink to red to yellow and then jumps to a bright green lace border

The shawl still needs to be blocked. This process of washing and spreading out the shawl flat to dry will smooth out the fabric and open up the lace.

Shawl still in the process of being knit laying in a scrunched up spiral of colour with a pop of green lace at the top.

The shawl is knit with the colours flowing into each other: white with purple speckles to purple to pink to red to yellow and a jump to green lace at the top

There are an assortment of stitch markers on the cable to keep track of the pattern, the bright heart markers stand out against the white background

Still working in the lace 💚 I have 10g of green yarn left so I’m going to risk a few more rows of lace 🧶🐓 we will all find out if that was a sensible decision in a bit 😂🤔

A shawl thats being knit is laying against a white background.

A green section of lace has been started while the body if the shawl is in a scrunched up spiral formation as its too large for the cable its on.

The colours are bright flower inspired with speckles. They flow from light purples to pink to red to yellow with the pop of bright green currently being knit

While i can knit lace without markers having them keeps me on track better by reducing mistakes

My lace has been started 💚💚💚

I didnt have to do mathematical adjustments to do the lace. I just found the row that worked for my number of stitches & went with it 😍

The beginnings of a shawl lay in a spiral at the bottom of the photo, the colours start with a white with soft purple speckles and become darker purple, this shifts into pinks with some pink yellow and green speckles

The balls of yarn above the knitting show the colour arrangement to come. Pinks shifting to white, then to red and then into yellow. A final larger ball of a light green is at the end. It is intended to be a section of lace at the end of the shawl

The coloured stripes go from neon yellow, greens, blues, purples and pink, repeated in the reverse order to mirror the progression. With a dark reddish pink along one edge + the tiny icord bindoff

The beginning of a shawl and the yarn laying on a white background.

The reddish pink start has a beam of bright yellow already knit and the first part if the green skein has started.

The minis laying next to the knitting are arranged in the order to be knit.

The pattern will then mirror the order as the shawl grows

It is a simple garter stitch with icord edges. The yellow beam and pink explosion colour are highly contrasting. A single row of the green mini has been added.
