To be clear: This is NOT an attack on women. It's an attack on patriarchy. Some of these women are defensive and say they are getting hate. Hate IS there...people are cruel, but mostly it's concern. I am not angry at these women. I'm concerned for their health. I had an eating disorder. It's awful.

Before ANY MAN comments that they do not like skinny women--this is not about your personal preference as a man. It is about the patriarchal narrative of women's value. The pressure women feel to exist and work in a male-dominated industry, dictating the rules, is the problem. End.

This new trend of women looking like skeletons is very concerning. As a slender but big-boned, 6ft tall woman who was pursuing an acting career in the 90s when size 0 was the new way to be, I know all about body hatred. What we see now is a whole new level of danger, & the patriarchy drives it. 1/
