I shared the EcoGeek video with my fiancé and she said “He has a furby that looks wet” and I got to explain the lore behind baked beans and the bean furby to someone completely unfamiliar with @hankgreen.bsky.social lore. Truly a marvelous experience.

I feel your pain. My schedule is limited on the weekends because of work, I share my availability and try to prioritize the games but getting responses from people is like pulling teeth.

As a person who primarily plays wizards, please, no. We wont survive. May I recommend the sorcerer instead? They are inherently magical….

New challenge for my 2025 year: Write a new fleshed out one-shot #D&D adventure every two weeks for my party who want to be able to try new stuff each time we play. New characters, new settings, new challenges every session. This is going to be interesting 😅

#DnD advice: The existence of the action economy implies the existence of the action unemployment rate. Keep this number down by exhausting every possible option you can take on a turn.

My absolute favorite thing to do when gaming is to make my brother (behind the screen) break or facepalm or cry (from the emotions not the cringe). We don’t get to play as much as I’d like, but getting to do so usually leads to these moments.

This is not untrue. Unless my players tell me that they want a long dungeon crawl full of puzzles and traps, I won’t use traps in my games. Sure an occasional bandit party might pop up in the night if they make the mistake of traveling while low-level, but otherwise, no traps.

Trying to schedule a D&D game session is like what I assume getting a bunch of raccoons to all follow directions is like. Maybe my players are just raccoons in human clothes.

Having ADHD means that I both require startlingly little time to prep a session of D&D, and simultaneously cannot possibly have enough time to prep an adventure for D&D.
