Yes, they're both Game Boys; PlayStations are all PlayStations but you're probably not going to lump PS1 and PS2, 3, 4 & 5 games together.

Was looking for "best of" lists for Game Boy games on YouTube last night and got unreasonably annoyed that many of them lump Game Boy Colour games in together with original Game Boy.

They are not the same.

Just noticed that Loop Hero is on sale for Switch.

A weird but very addictive game, I recommend checking reviews to see if it's for you, but it's well worth its current sale price.

Basically my daughter not only empties my actual bank account, she does it on Animal Crossing as well. 🤣

…so today I've been juggling 3 Switch's: mine, my daughters and the S2; travelling between islands basically to help my daughter get her island up to 3 stars and both her houses (on her island & the shared island) increased in size.

Been playing Animal Crossing today.

Because I was bored of my original island but didn't want to lose it, when I got a Switch 2 I started over and kept my OG island on my Switch lite.

The Switch 2 is shared between me & my daughter so the new island is shared too…

…and if I'm honest, I feel a bit silly. 🫤

Worst thing is, my socially awkward ass will sit there and *not* get any of those things out to entertain myself, because I'll feel awkward/silly doing so.

…So in my backpack I've got things to keep me entertained:

• a Retro Gamer magazine
• a Miyoo mini Flip
• a Nintendo Switch Lite and a handful of games.
• a kindle

It was only after I packed all this in my bag that I felt like a bloody child going somewhere "boring"…

Have to take my car for service today. As a disabled person they used to pick it up for me and deliver it back, because I can't take a courtesy car (I have adaptations on my car to make it drivable for me).

Anyway, this means I have to wait with my car. I'm not thrilled about this…

I had a subscription to Commadore Format as a kid. Always looked forward to the "Power Pack" cover tapes.

Why do Gen Z have a growing appetite for retro tech? Gen Z are going retro, with studies showing a resurgence in people buying tech in the modern age that can be dated back decades.

This is a lot of words just to say: "because it's the same stuff the generation that raised them had. They grew up around it as it faded, so have a faint nostalgia for it."

Same reason Gen X'ers/early millennials had a hard-on for 60's music and fashion.
