Trying to remember why exactly I had called a Mr. Tawky Tawny / Paddington Bear mashup character I was planning to use in my superhero RPG campaign "Waltham Cross"?

It's a train station, but why did I pick that one?

Even though Gunn claims it's not.

She's a big part of the Panic In The Sky! crossover that this movie seems to be adapting.

Anyway, despite tags on certain anime listing sites, I don't think Galvion qualifies for the Anime Cops event I'm working on. It's more like Hardcastle and McCormick with robots.

The first short film from Toei Animation's in-house program "Pro, Pro, Pro!!" is out: "Mugen∞Anime".

Must resist turning this Kitacon event into another stats based project - the increased number of police-based anime over time is not something unique to anime or Japan. Charting that explosion would involve far too big a data set for a panel designed to show clips of Mad Bull and Global Astroliner.

Great. I have "Bink's Brew" stuck in my head again.

I do appreciate that One Piece is in the "just put a wig/hair dye on" camp for de-aging actors in flashbacks. We're already going along with enough on the show that we can easily briefly accept Clive Russell playing much younger than 80.

The answer to the trolley problem is to get one of those keyrings that has a little circular plastic fob on it that's the same size as a pound coin

A day later and it's funny how most of the crowd that conjures up journalistic biases and pay-for-play deals with zero proof are largely quiet when a real one emerges. Huh, I wonder what the difference is!

Yup. That first episode feels like "look at this amazing new way to edit anime" and then nearly everyone else on the project went "looks too difficult".

While I think a live action Samurai Champloo is a bad idea, I do think it stands a better chance of maintaining the hip hop element throughout than the anime managed.

Remember! Netflix One Piece is a live action COMIC adaptation. A genre that has had great success for over a century.

Do not mistake this for a live action CARTOON adaption, a genre which includes The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000).

But if the Bristol HMV is still a going concern, that will have BDs. HMV is basically BD + Anime Toys at this point.

The good news is that FOPP is just down the road and that is absolutely full of blu rays.

Good thing about live action One Piece coming this far into the manga's lifespan is you get Jeff Ward's performance as Buggy, where you can see his initial hatred of Luffy is in part born out of his love of Roger.

The conscious mind has enough shit going on. It doesn't need "stop doing that weird thing with your feet when sitting" and "don't put yourself in a figure 4 leglock in your sleep" on its plate too.

As I approach the end of Kiwami 3, the problems are that it is still Yakuza 3 at its core. "Chapter 9: The Plot" remains the most egregious bit of writing and game-design in this series.
