Hah! That’s the other major storm I flew on this year, but not any after her eye cleared up. That’s a great piece that captures the stadium effect really well!

yeah the views were absolutely insane. I wish I could’ve gotten more photos and videos but I had my mission tasks to focus on 😔

I believe this specific video was from the Air Force C-130 that day. But our NOAA P-3 flight was in the eye at the same time as this! We just don’t have as many good cameras. Here’s one from my phone though.

The NOAA42 one on the 27th! That’s the moment this piece is commemorating.

I think the Air Force had their big hit on the 28th though

Yeah they absolutely crushed it. It is certainly a big ask to immortalize the experience of a moment like this but Serpent absolutely nailed it.
