EOS Signs €71.4M Deal for 100kW Laser Weapon to Counter Drone Threats

Electro Optic Systems (EOS) has secured a €71.4 million contract to deliver a 100-kilowatt laser weapon system to a European NATO member state, marking the first confirmed export of a high-power directed energy weapon.

The constellation now comprises 41 satellites operating in four orbital planes, supporting telecom services in over 20 countries, including Oman, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Morocco. The network is expected to reach 64 satellites within two months, completing the first phase of its deployment.
