From testing to tracking - Washington clears backlog of Sexual Assault Kits WASHINGTON - Nearly 10,000 backlogged sexual assault kits (SAKs) now processed as Washington State facilities have received more funding and resources to address these cases.

The entire backlog of 10,000 sexual assault kits in Washington has now been completely processed.

This was only possible thanks to the incredible advocacy of survivors like Leah Griffin, who worked tirelessly to see this backlog ended through legislation sponsored by #WALeg champion Tina Orwall.
