I’ve been scared to post this cause I know there are ⬇️

At the end of the day, I see them both not needing sex in general. And being able to go long spurts without it. This feeling of actually craving that specific type of intimacy from someone is already so new to them both. ⬇️

I see their sweet spot being a 70/30 mix. Lu still bottoms technically more often, but that’s also counting times Alastor is just like “nah I don’t want to be touched, just wanna touch you!”

Which, in terms of Lu having HIS happiness put first, is a whole other thread lmao ⬇️

FOREVER to start. And Lucifer is so incredibly patient. Telling him they don’t have to do anything, taking breaks to do other things, still giving Alastor the control regardless of how they do it.

Once they cross that hurdle, Alastor starts to obviously want it mixed up more and more. Eventually ⬇️

much more comfortable being the one in control and the thought of giving it up in one of the most vulnerable ways a person could scares the fuck outta him.

It takes a lot of bonding and a lot of trust for Alastor to allow himself in that state. And even then, even when they do it, it takes ⬇️

(That being said, I totally still see Al saying he wants to bottom finally, Lucifer trying to act cool like “can you give me a minute?” Walks into the other room and just starts punching the air whisper screaming ‘YES’ over and over.)

Alastor at first would have a very big preference. Feeling ⬇️

He’s lived for thousands of years, he didn’t care in the beginning and he wouldn’t care now whether he’s taking or giving. I in general head canon Lu as a very fluid being. Changing constantly bc that’s how stars and the universe work. And he’s as close as you can get to physically touching that. ⬇️

fighting for control. To be the top dog, hold all the cards, insert other metaphor here. I see him craving Luci, an extremely powerful being, to submit. And Lu, getting his pleasure mainly just from other ppls happiness, doesnt really care. ⬇️

When they exactly switch is very dependent on the timeline. For me personally, if you see Al bottoming that means it’s pretty far into their escapades. And if they aren’t already tossing out wedding rings, they are at least extremely familiar with each other. Alastor’s character is very much him ⬇️

is superior in any way. I’m making this cause I’ve been asked about it a lot and I like hc threads in general, I find them very interesting to see different points of view for the same ship!

But to get to the point: I see them as switches but it takes em a bit to get there. ⬇️
