Really enjoyed Fantastic Four!

I heard that there are carnivorous squirrels and I showed my oldest a picture of a squirrel carrying away a mice, and my daughter laughs and shouts, "Let him go, bro!"

I'm gonna try to see Fantastic Four with the family tonight.

Also, I want to see Happy Gilmore 2! 😀

I just did a video interview for Salt Lake Community College. It's going to be shown at the inauguration of the new college president as part of a "key alumni" feature.

One of my readers called the gorgantauns "danger noodles" and it made me laugh!

My stories are often very action-packed and violent.

But they're not spicy. I can't imagine myself ever writing spicy. It's just not my thing.

Predator: Badlands looks so freaking cool!

I love being an author. But many of the comments I receive make me uncomfortable.

"Can you get me an audition?"

"Will you give me feedback on my book for free?"

"How much money do you make?"

"Don't forget us when you get big "

"I wish I had time to write."

"Why aren't you as popular as __?"

I am struggling to describe how excited I am to hold the third book in my trilogy.

It's gonna be such a great feeling to have a completed series out in bookstores. 😀

Some people think it's strange to love your own book.

This makes little sense to me.

Why else would I spend hundreds if not thousands of hours on it otherwise?

I write for myself, and hope others enjoy my work, too.

Writing makes me happy.

This has been the year of amusement parks for me and my family.

We've visited:
-Walt Disney World (all four parks)
-Universal Studios (both parks, epic wasn't open)
-Dollywood
-Lagoon (season pass)

And we're going to Silverwood in a few weeks.

I have just completed my second round of dev edits for BEHIND THE GLASS.

Basically since February, I have been in dev edits for two books, back-to-back. So it feels amazing right now to be done with dev edits.

Copy edits for both DF and BTG will be next.

My daughter sees a bald man this morning and says, "For a second, I thought that was Lex Luthor."

I say, "I'm bald. Does that make Lex?"

She looks at me and says, "Hi, Lex."

I have the peculiar knack of being able to write a NYT bestseller and also write the most rambling, incoherent emails.

Still wild to see...

Sitting down for Superman!

I just finished signing at the Educator Wellness Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. We ran out of SKY'S END just a few minutes after I arrived, and we sold out of AMONG SERPENTS right after that.

Good times.

At a theme park, overheard a guy in front of me talk about how he was publishing a book and he said he probably wasn't going to make any money, but he didn't care because it made him happy.

Love it.
