I was told today that SKY’S END was nominated for the Colorado Bruce Spruce Young Adult Book Award!

Just finished the third draft of my next book.

I've juggled working on this one between working on DOWNFALL, BEHIND THE GLASS, and reviewing the SKY'S END screenplay.

I track my word count daily. 129 days of work to get to this point. I start the fourth draft tomorrow!

For my students, I'm doing a raffle drawing where students can enter earned tickets to potentially win a signed set of the Above the Black trilogy, and I'm pulling the winner's ticket when DOWNFALL comes out on March 17th!

It's still quite unbelievable to me that after so many years of trying, and after all the rejections, by the end of this year I'll have FOUR books out between two publishers.

Today was one the good days in my author inbox. 😀

We have decided to include a deleted scene from each book of the trilogy at the end of the ebook edition of DOWNFALL. You will not find these scenes anywhere else, and they are exclusive to DOWNFALL's ebook!

These scenes are raw and unedited, but I hope you love them!

Just got invited to two more local schools for their book clubs where we'll discuss my books. 😀

I've started the third draft of my new book. This is when it really becomes fun for me. Revision, discovering characters in greater detail, smoothing the text, cutting and moving scenes around. 😀

It's on their website, so I can now confirm I will be coming to the Henderson Reads Book Festival in Nevada in April!

The narrator finished recording DOWNFALL today! He sent me a video recording of him performing the final lines. I'm all emotional, guys.

Something I really appreciate as an author is when I'm doing an event, the bookstore sends around post-it notes for readers to write down their names.

It makes it SO much easier for me when I'm signing books without having to ask the reader to spell their name!

It's so unbelievably exciting to write books that you love and then hear from readers that they love them, too!
