✔️ Explore their impact on everyday life and mental health
✔️ Co-create alternative narratives of belonging grounded in lived experience to improve mental health

The workshop brought together:
🔹 People with lived experience of seeking asylum
🔹 Community partners
🔹 Artists and cultural practitioners
🔹 Researchers at King’s
Through collaboration, they developed practices that questioned exclusionary discourses & reimagined belonging.

Our version does the opposite. It centers Palestinian scholars & students whose lives, universities & futures are being destroyed. This is the statement they should have issued. Again, read & share our revised statement 👇 4/4

Instead of calling for accountability, they doubled down on scientific exchange with Israeli institutions, many complicit in sustaining illegal occupation, apartheid & military violence. 3/4

The original statement reaffirmed “unwavering solidarity” with Israel & its universities, while offering only vague concern for Gaza. It acknowledged a “humanitarian crisis” but refused to name its cause: Israel’s deliberate policies and horrific war crimes. 2/4
