Iโve been thinking about this article for a while, but I finally decided it was time to write it because I witnessed a baffling example of disrespect and dehumanization in the news this morning.
Thought I'd try something different this week. A sort of parable.
We don't have to be perfect. But when we make mistakes, we should apologize.
And we don't have to agree, but we should at the very least not go out of our to purposely offend people.

I am convinced that at some point a woolly mammoth was attacking the cave and a "crisis leader" took charge and saved the day ... but then he got worried -- if there's no crisis, will I still be the leader? Which is why he led an attack on the next cave over. Crisis averted -- or maybe perpetuated?
