Vancouver fans, that one stings. I too thought that should have been a penalty.
But it's Ottawa, in a game they had no reason to win, who come away with the 3-2 overtime win on a goal from Rebecca Leslie.
The win moves them into fourth place and back into a playoff spot.
Well I can't say that I saw this one coming.
Ottawa ties it late thanks to Sarah Wozniewicz and this game is off to overtime.
Vancouver outshot Ottawa 33-16 in regulation. I'll say it again: thank you, Gwyneth Philips.
Vancouver takes the lead and it's Sophie Jaques with her 40th career point.
Claire Thompson with the assist. 2-1 Goldeneyes.
For Ottawa, Taylor House has left the ice after taking a crosscheck up high from Thompson.
Two up, two down and despite being outshot 21-8, Ottawa has a 1-0 lead over Vancouver heading into the final frame.
Fanuza Kadirova with the late period power play goal.
The Charge are 2-0-0-0 when leading after two, while Vancouver is outscoring opponents 17-15 in the third.
Charge fans, the call went your way this time.
Fanuza Kadirova scores into the open net on the power play, but the refs immediately waved off for goaltender interference.
After a lengthy review, the goal counts and Ottawa leads 1-0 late in the second period.
Congratulations to Grace Outwater and her Penn State teammates, who are off to their first Frozen Four in program history after a 3-0 shutout over UConn.
First period is in the books and we have no score between Ottawa and Vancouver.
Vancouver with the better opportunities and it shows, as they hold a massive 12-3 lead in SOG.
Ottawa had too many turnovers, and while they've shown great shot blocking, that isn't how you win a game.
Here is your lineup, as the Ottawa Charge take on the Vancouver Goldeneyes, and a word from the coach.
The Ottawa Charge make their first stop on the nearly month-long road trip in Vancouver to face off against the Goldeneyes.
