I am proud to be a Socialist. I've voted and worked for Democrats since the 1968 presidential election because the Democrats come closest to my beliefs. I am now questioning my support for Democrats. You take my time, labor and vote then vilify me for my political affiliation.

Public schools, libraries, city roads, public parks and beaches are all examples of socialist policies. Universal healthcare, something every other developed nation provides is socialist. The US ought to learn from those socialist countries. They have better medical outcomes & spend less.

Medicaid pays for prenatal care for poor women and pay to provide nursing home care for elderly who no longer have funds to pay. Are you suggesting kicking poor elderly out of care facilities? For some that would mean being homeless. How very Republican of you.

Let's start with Social Security and Medicare, two incredibly popular and successful socialist programs. Are you suggesting those socialist programs should be eliminated? As a senior who relies on both, I find that as cruel as the Republicans' policies.
