I decided to take the advice of my favourite witch re shadow work. I am trying to push through my poetic block. To that end, I’ve created a pseudonym and… *sigh* a Tumblr.

It’s easier to post the verses there, as I work on reconnecting to my voice.

I find that when I get into a flow state with work it is very difficult to stop working. This might not be the best way to relax (undoubtedly I won’t be able to afford it next month) but for now it is helpful.

Just wish that I had a proper guild again.

Today on International Women's Day I thought about my lost girlhood and womanhood in Baghdad. How my youth was wasted.
I'll turn 40 years old this year and I am left with the horrifying realisation that I've spent the past 40 years in Baghdad just trying to survive. I haven't actually lived at all.
