YouTube Lays Claim to Another Crown: The World’s Largest Media Company The influential financial research firm MoffettNathanson suggests that the Google-owned video platform passed Disney's media business in 2025.

This is incredible data esp for those of us who remember when YT started in early 2005 and when Goog bought it for $1.65b in fall 2006. Is there a link to the Moffettt research somewhere? www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/dig...

I get it. Tho the Christian war thing is actually kinda funny in the most black way possible. “The secular Americans backing the Jewish state against the evil Muslims of Iran to make the middle east a Christian nation” Only the US would say/do something so stupid with a straight face.

Yes. Tho it is also true that original NAZIs would look down on anyone who wasn’t proud to be one. “How you going to create a master race if you’re too spineless to say that’s what you want?” Can we call this new kind weasel NAZIS? I see a new taunt coming.

Enveda's AI makes drugs from plants. It could revolutionize pharma. Enveda, led by founder Viswa Colluru, thinks making drugs from plants using AI and robots will revolutionize pharma worldwide.

What’s future of drug development? Maybe it’s plants, thanks to AI and robots. It’s why I found Enveda so interesting. They say they are on track to develop FDA approved meds four times faster and a tenth the cost of big pharma. That’s latest from CrazyStupidTech crazystupidtech.com/2026/02/27/e...

What is it about Warner Bros. That has doomed it to be a big part of the worst mergers in American history? See Time+Warner, AOL+Time Warner. Now Paramount/WBD. Crazy.

Newsom to probe claims of Trump-critical censorship at TikTok The review comes amid wider accusations that content criticizing ICE is being flagged for review or throttled, just days after the platform closed a Trump-backed deal to avoid facing a U.S. ban.

It figures that we had to take TikTok from the Chinese for its users to truly experience censorship. politi.co/4q14V2E

Re Greenland-The EU needs a maximalist response to Trump - to use its bazooka. It’s only way to get Trump to respect them. It will cause them pain and might end NATO. But it will cause a meltdown of support for Trump from the US biz community. Negotiations with Trump until they do that is pointless.

Supreme Court Agrees to Review Trump Order Restricting Birthright Citizenship

Am I wrong to be worried scotus even agreed to hear this case? The easiest path would have been for them to simply not hear it and let lower court rulings stand. Does this case actually have a chance of success?

Whether you know a lot or nothing about Silicon Valley, this is a must read piece by my friend and former Wired bud Steven levy @stevenjayl. He has seen the evolution of tech from its beginnings. He knows everyone. Few have as powerful a lens. It’s just seminal. www.wired.com/story/silico...

Can someone explain why a traditional network tv broadcast license - and therefore the opinion of the FCC - is remotely meaningful in a world where virtually zero content is consumed that way and where virtually zero eyeballs consume it that way? Is there truly no workaround to this 80 yr old tech?

Obama’s election in 2008,much as it pains me to say it.Lit a fire of resentment and prejudice building since 1980s when US manuf stopped supporting single earner middle class families wo college degree. Watching tech bros become billionaires while you lost your house sunk the hook. Want to be wrong.

I wasn’t the first Techmeme reader, but pretty close. I saw it for the first time sometime in late 2005 or early 2006. Been hooked ever since. Perhaps the lesson here is that “Change is good. But more often than not, less is more. “
