On social media, Knight Division Tactical CEO Michael Schulz states the company performs background checks on applicants. How a prominent white nationalist like Ian Elliott came to work for them is unclear and neither Elliott nor KDT responded to multiple requests for comment for this story.
And just last week, Elliott - using the alias “Norman” - was announced as a fighter in an upcoming event for a Russian street fight promotion that expanded into the US last year with the help of neo-nazis from Patriot Front and the active club network.

Ian Elliott has been a longtime member of Patriot Front and acts as the personal bodyguard to PF leader Thomas Rousseau. Last month, Elliott made an appearance with PF in Washington DC for the annual anti-abortion March for Life where Vice President JD Vance spoke.
Knight Division Tactical professes their Orthodox Christian faith on social media and recruits with memes about lucrative “missions” in places like Nigeria. “We are elite Private Security Contractors,” wrote KDT CEO Michael Schulz in a 2024 post. “We uphold the highest order of Christian virtues.”
Ian Michael Elliott was part of “crisis relief missions” for Knight Division Tactical according to a LinkedIn post from a company executive last September. “Stellar company, sharp agents, quality work!” Elliott would later write in a 5-star Google review for the company.
