Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

I've heard and seen a lot today about how to get through this. Here's my hot take:

1. every day is a gift.
2. joy is resistance.
3. community care is key.

We'll get through it because we have to. And because we have each other. Keep making your art and flaunting your humanity. ❤️

Chatting with a friend about how to recreate the communities we lost. I keep coming back to the fact that community organizing predates socials or computers. We don’t need the next platform. We need to relearn how movements organized in the analog age.

Did I match my new project to my new puffer vest? Obviously yes, but not consciously.

It’s called caramel! So yes. Yummy!

Omg yes. I keep forgetting. Also I’m really self conscious about it. I know it’s important, but I feel like I’m doing it wrong, and then I “forget” which doesn’t make me get better.

Thanks! Love Fest fibers. They are known for their large-scale weaving yarn, so a lot of people don’t know they carry finer yarn too.

I’ll say it: bc this is basically twitter, and I never used or needed twitter, it’s extremely difficult to settle now.

Daily Crochet Journaling is going well, tho not without challenges. Yes, I’m having a hard time boiling each day down to one emotion. Also, since I often journal at night, the most urgent, recurring feeling is, “EXHAUSTED.” Not an emotion, but that’s how I feel.

I get very little lap time with my boys. They strongly prefer Mike. Here is a rare and precious moment with Paco.

My interpretation of Tony Lipsy’s 2025 mood wrap, nee blanket. Each night at 8:pm, an alarm goes off on my phone, and I sit down to journal and crochet about my day.

I was in bed still. It was only slightly worse than when the boys have zoomies.

While I only have a few followers here, I can share stuff I probably shouldn’t (yet.)

Not much of a picture, but this was the very best lentil soup ever, thanks to @ranchogordo.bsky.social and having mirepoix prepped in the freezer. Sadly, all gone now.
