TECH-niques to turn HOME MADE knitting into HANDMADE knitting (+ sporadic forays into politics) TECHknitting.com Written by a human since 2006 Access how-to index at https://techknitter.blogspot.com/2010/04/revised-unified-index-for.html
I've started a ticket with support + they are looking into it. If you get a post you don't like, click on the three dots. One of the options is "Less like this." When I press LESS, I get even MORE icky pix. Makes Bluesky unusable for me.I mean, good LORD. Hopefully, support will resolve this.
06.12.2025 23:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0I keep trying to do so--I hit "less like this" every time something objectionable comes up and then...I get MORE of whatever I said I didn't want. Like way more, like the objectionable stuff populates half my feed. So, something is very sus here with the controls.
06.12.2025 22:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0What's with all the naked and suggestive? I don't care to see naked anyone and especially not dick pics. The more I click "LESS like this," the MORE dick pics.

A three-panel photo showing double knitting from both sides. Panel 1: mirror-image double knitting with the word "BIG" reversed--this is what would happen in ordinary double knitting with words. Panel 2: the reverse of panel 1, where the word "BIG reads correctly. Panel 3: like panel 1, this is also the reverse of panel 2, but the word "BIG" now reads correctly. Via a label at the bottom of the three panel illustration, the reader is given to understand that the difference between the mirror-image "BIG" and the correctly oriented "BIG" has occurred through a double knitting technique called "uncoupling."

Use the new four-needle technique to double-knit words which read correctly from both sides.

Knitters are asking me: Is 4-needle double-knitting related to 4 double-pointed needles?
The answer is no.
An illustrated post shows the difference + what 4-needle double-knitting actually is.

Use the new 4-needle double knitting method to create horizontal tubes like on a puffer jacket; tubes which can be stuffed.

A sock being double knit, which is a black outside layer and a white inside layer, with the stitches arranged alternately on three double-pointed needles. The sock has diamond designs on it in white on the visible black layer, and (because the sock is double knit) the implication is that there are corresponding black designs on the inside white layer.

There are several videos in the blog post (click link ) which walk you through the whole process. In the posted photo, the cut ends are hiding under the folded-back steek, which is labeled "D." Double fold-back does share the folded aspect of a french seam, but is not clasped like a french seam is.

Double fold-back steeks, good for wall hangings & cushion tops. Could use on blankets too, and maybe cardigan front bands
The finishing work is done ahead. When you cut, the ends fold under, forever hidden.
