Join me for a virtual town hall Tuesday, March 17 to discuss how I’m fighting back against Trump’s policies. Links will be posted here the morning of the town hall.
Yesterday, I had the honor of presenting Ted Vytlacil with his military service medals. He had been told he would have to wait two years to receive his medals due to a backlog. Instead, our office intervened and got the medals for him.
Thank you, Ted, for your service.
I'm proud to announce that I've secured over $3.1 million in federal funding for St. Louis Lambert International Airport to modernize critical power infrastructure supporting terminal consolidation.
I'm proud to partner with @budzinski.house.gov and my neighboring Representatives to expand the boundaries of the Gateway Arch National Park and work toward expanding economic opportunity in 'our' region on both sides of the river.
“Never underestimate the power of a woman who knows who she is”
-Tina Turner
Looking back at these words from St. Louis’ late, great Tina Turner on this International Women’s Day. Thankful for the women of STL and around the world who continue to inspire us all!
On the heels of introducing my EPSTEIN Act yesterday, I’m looking back on the Clinton Depositions. We need to hold the DOJ and the bad actors in the Epstein Files accountable and continue seeking the truth.
I introduced the EPSTEIN Act to establish an independent, bipartisan commission to provide transparency and accountability over the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein Files.
Heartbroken to hear that Cody Khork, an online student at St. Louis’ Webster University, was killed in the war with Iran. I’m sending my love and prayers to Cody’s family, and will continue to fight in Congress to protect our brave servicemembers.
At today’s Oversight hearing on ICE actions in Minnesota, I subpoenaed Greg Bovino to testify to the committee. The victims, survivors, and people of Minnesota deserve answers and for the bad actors to be held accountable.
Just voted with @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi to testify about the Epstein Files. The cover-ups have gone on far too long. I won't stop until we get to the truth.
Proud to have recieved a 100% rating from the League of Conservation Voters on their 2025 National Environmental Scorecard. I will continue to work in Congress to fight for climate and environmental justice– both for Missouri's First District and the whole country.
Proud to introduce legislation today to honor the late Chuck Stone, a trailblazing journalist and civil rights leader born in St. Louis.
Entries are open for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition! High school students from Missouri’s First District are encouraged to participate. For rules and more information, please visit our website. Submissions are due April 16.

Official statement on the U.S. military strikes in Iran.
Just wrapped up Day 2 of the Clinton Depositions and sat down with MS NOW to discuss former President Bill Clinton’s hearing. Now, it’s time for President Trump to stand before the committee, raise his right hand, and tell the truth. The victims and survivors of Jeffrey Epstein deserve justice.
As a former Prosecutor, I’ve led these types of investigations. And this one? It’s not serious. As we begin Day 2 of the Clinton Depositions, let me reiterate: Justice needs to be served.
Talked all things Clinton Depositions with NPR this morning as we head into Day 2 of the hearings. The American people, and the victims and survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, deserve for the truth to be released. www.npr.org/2026/02/27/n...
Day 1 of the Clinton Depositions. We @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social will continue to make certain that the victims and survivors are given their due and their voices are heard, and that justice is ultimately served.
"I've led serious prosecutions, and this ain't that!"
This should be a public hearing. Enough with the political theater.
As a Prosecutor, we are ‘victims’ advocates, but this House-Republican investigation under the Trump Administration appears to be advocating for the ‘criminals.’
Congratulations to Tanish Dorasani, the winner of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for Missouri's First District. Tanish created OptiSense Glucose Trend Monitor, an app that continuously tracks and displays glucose direction trends and notifies the user of significant changes.
Honored the life of our own Gwen Reed on the House floor today. I'm eternally grateful to have known her and will carry her lessons with me always. Rest in Peace and Power, Mama Reed.
Say it with me: “Cover-up.”
The only question is how much MORE are they trying to hide?
This month, we kicked off our Youth Council with our first meeting and a group tour of the Mill Creek: Black Metropolis exhibit at the Missouri History Museum for Black History Month. Proud to get to celebrate Black culture and history in St. Louis with these young leaders.
Here’s a list of places to call if you’re currently sheltering in place or stuck in Mexico. Stay safe, everyone.
I look forward to continuing to work with all of our world class institutions to make sure they are able to achieve our mission. And, as I said to Dr. Collins Smith:
“We’re just getting started!”
As the only HBCU in the St. Louis region, Harris-Stowe State University plays a critical role in growing our region and ensuring opportunity for all. I am proud to announce that I’ve secured over $1,000,000 in federal funding to expand HSSU's programming and modernization of its IT infrastructure.
As a former prosecutor, I know that public safety is foundational. I look forward to bringing more resources back home as we continue to grow this region.
These funds will ensure our officers have state of the art equipment, strengthen public safety across our region and continue our mission of a community-oriented approach to policing.
