Just wrapped up Day 2 of the Clinton Depositions and sat down with MS NOW to discuss former President Bill Clinton’s hearing. Now, it’s time for President Trump to stand before the committee, raise his right hand, and tell the truth. The victims and survivors of Jeffrey Epstein deserve justice.

As a former Prosecutor, I’ve led these types of investigations. And this one? It’s not serious. As we begin Day 2 of the Clinton Depositions, let me reiterate: Justice needs to be served.

That’s why I introduced the Reinvest in Public Schools Act. Strong public schools are one of the clearest paths to opportunity in this country. If we’re serious about expanding opportunity in St. Louis and communities like it, we have to be serious about investing in our public schools.

I’ve seen firsthand what strong public schools can mean for a family and for a neighborhood. When schools are supported, kids have a real shot and communities grow stronger because of it. Here in St. Louis, we also know what lack of investment looks like.

As one of the first Black teachers in the Hazelwood School District, as a Committeewoman, as a mentor, and in so many other roles, she led through her example, her advice, and her unconditional tough love.

I am still at a loss for words.

We lost a legend.

Although I am escorting her in this video, the truth is that “Mama Reed” escorted so many of us throughout our lives.

From marching with Dr. King to building a Rainbow Coalition that brought the forgotten into the center of our politics, he expanded what was possible.

May he rest in power.

Reverend Jesse Jackson rose out of the Civil Rights Movement and spent his life fighting for justice. He was a towering voice on the national stage and a source of strength and pride for so many communities.
