Scheierman picks up a few early steals and finishes in transition after splitting a pair of 3PT tries. Not trying to do too much has been a theme of #Celtics Summer League and he's trying to bounce back from a 2/14 opener where he pressed a little.

Also hit on the Charles Bassey revelation within. It'll be difficult to fit him onto the roster as it stands, and Summer League players are free to be signed by anyone. Would say it's unlikely he remains with C's until we see a corresponding move. BOS has 14 guaranteed players.

Hugo Gonzalez Celtics Debut Solid Despite Hard Turnaround from Spain - CLNS Media Hugo González impressed in his NBA debut, but called the pace and process of learning terminology difficult as he transitions from Spain.

Excellent start to the Summer League for the C's. Some good stuff from Walsh, a solid Hugo debut, the Amari offensive flashes you would've expected and a revelation in Charles Bassey.

I'd say the #Celtics' ball control has been solid given that they're running point guard by committee.

The Amari skill set is fun, but as they've said they'll need to round out is game. Hugo is trying out everything he needs to 6-2-1 with a steal. 1/3 3PT 1/5 FT but a +12.

Brad Stevens Signals Al Horford Departure as Celtics Stand Pat - CLNS Media Brad Stevens acknowledged Al Horford will likely leave the Celtics, becoming the fourth significant loss for a Boston team trying to exceed expectations.

As #Celtics brace for Al Horford's departure, they'll simply try to exceed expectations after suffering four giant losses plus the Tatum injury.

Still wrapping my head around the fact that this is it for Horford in BOS. He accomplished the goal in '24, but this still feels like an unceremonious end for someone who legitimately became one of the more important figures in franchise history. Circumstances changed, but tough.

If #Celtics do enter the season with this roster I assume it'll be White-Pritchard-Hauser-Brown-Queta barring an unexpected development. Significant roles off the bench for Simons, Niang and I'd assume Garza will have the edge for the secondary center minutes. TBD after that.

Brad Stevens is clearly excited to see the #Celtics battle lower than recent expectations this season, and says "Jaylen will be a big part of that."

I think we're fully past the Brown/White trade saga for this summer.

Stevens said center won't be highlighted on paper as C's strength given what their players have done in their careers. Says it's on them to prove that otherwise.
