it’s the environment that allows education to thrive AND is where any and all aspects of human progress actually form. so talking solely about needing to educate without also communicating the importance of community spaces and village-building is a bit frustrating
i feel like most policy issues get boiled down to the importance of education, which is necessary, but in the process of making that argument people are downplaying how much community outside of the classroom also matters
