Londoner. Staunch Labour and Starmer supporter and political obsessive. Big James Bond fan, lover of travel, holidays, English Test cricket, Kylie, and all things pop music and fun. So pleased to have moved on from the deplorable Elon Musk platform et al.

Jenrick now says he’s always hated those who rent out their flat and believes UK drugs policy should reflect the need to ‘encourage a weekend bender’.

Kemi was an Equalities Minister when equality was reduced, and a Trade Minister who achieved F all by way of trade deals. I’m not sure the stupid woman has anything useful to say about anything frankly.

I completely agree. Starmer really doesn’t help himself either - the ‘Never Here Keir’ tag doesn’t help him - and, when he is here, he lacks presence and fails to give a sense of purpose and direction. These things matter in a time of economic woe, and with populism from left and right on the march.

Do we want performative time consuming visits in lieu of actual governing? If Nick is so fussed maybe he should rise up from his excessive derrière and pay a visit himself?

It might be but raising income tax is still the best option at this point. The country needs to be rebuilt.

Absolutely. Having an austerity policy at a time of very low interest rates was a basic and fundamental error from the Tories, and we are all now paying the price. The country should have been investing in its infrastructure at that point with cheap money widely available.

She’ll be back in fairly short order methinks. Too good not to be and offers some personality and energy to things.

It was 40 grand of tax which she then agreed to pay on advise. Hardly Watergate…or even Partygate.

She could have survived that very mild isssue in my view. They should have styled it out in the same way Johnson et al did with all their (far bigger) scandals.
