I wish perfume could cure the winter blues. I’m wearing a very happy and vibrant scent (House by Zernell Gillie) and I smell incredible but I still feel tired and sad. It doesn’t feel right. House deserves a happier wear.

My favorite thing about working out with a trainer over zoom is that I can discreetly pass gas and not worry about choking her out. I know that’s tmi but honestly it makes me so much less self conscious to work out. Not to mention not having to look gym ready.

I miss my grandmother so much tonight. Her memory catches me in the gut every once in a while. Today in the shower, I had the memory/image of talking to her and telling her I’d showered and she’d say “Te toco hoy?” And we’d laugh each time. And then she’d make sure I knew it was said with love.

I don’t want to go to sleep. I’m proud to be Latina. Benito is the Latino icon of my dreams. As a former salsa dancer, it was incredible to see that at the super bowl. His message was clear and full of joy and pride. As a Cuban American, so much of that was familiar. My heart overflows.
