Ryukishi does seem to like the "Por quΓ© no los dos?" method when it comes to mysteries
I remember being super annoyed by "coma theories" when I was younger because they sound edgy on the surface but are actually just a huge cop out story telling wise.
And I enjoy how much it is not ashamed of the source material. It knows exactly what it is snd revels in it.
I just got to the second season of the live action One Piece and Robin is perfect. Honestly all the casting on this show is spot on, and especially Luffy's earnestness stands out.
I roll my eyes so hard when I hear protein anything these days.
There's a strong current of ODD through a lot of the MAGA movement.
The part about Elliot Roger being mad at the sight of mixed race couples is ironic because he was half Asian. Which I know ties into a lot of perceptions of Asian men I am not qualified to speak on, but when you look at how popular KPop boy bands are in the States it blows a hole in their theories
I cringed the other day when I saw "lookdmaxxing" used in a video game and I don't think the developers had any connection to that part of the internet but I do worry about that type of language being normalized.
Even cryptids need rest sometimes
Bahaha
I'm sure my boss is pounding the "FIRED" button so hard it cracks.
Welp. a guy who works for the same agency as me got busted for CSAM. And unfortunately the most common reaction I'm hearing is "Yeah I can see that, he's creepy."
And not helping his case is he happened to be wearing a Bluey shirt in his booking photo.
Unfortunately I know of some ancient internet history lore involving a guy with a thing for big knees so it was the first thing I thought of.
It's a pretty classic strategy for that sort of censorship.
I couldn't tell you which website but I guess there are some legit issues with the new TOS like not allowing "aged up" art which creates some obvious problems like effectively banning some characters who might have started their stories as kids but grew up but I only caught some of it.
I think some art website changed their TOS and that's the source of it

It feels kind of illegal how the live action One Piece figured out you should just... be anime but live action.
Big colors, big designs, larger than life characters and acting choices, an exercise in excess. Trust in the things that made the original work for people in the first place.
I've been watching Dr. Stone and it has some very fruity characters. Gen mostly. No way that man is straight. And I'm convinced Boichi is bi considering how often the male cast ends up naked.
It's amazing how much One Piece gets right that the live action Cowboy Bebop got wrong.
Like, it just looks like she's torturing these people making them do cold plunges and none of them look happy about it.
There's this Garnier commercial showing them trying to get Gisele Bundchen to sign with them and she makes them do all this "wellness" shit that looks absolutely miserable and I don't know how it's supposed to sell shampoo.
Having dealt with Romney when he was the governor in Massachusetts I think that's a good comparison.
For clarification there "was" is because my mom passed away last year.
The whole digression at the end made me think about my dad who I like to compare to Patton Oswalt in terms of what he looks like and despite being a short somewhat potato shaped man he was married to my mother, a gorgeous redhead, for over 40 years because he's funny and kind.
The unfortunate part too is it's unlikely this case ever would have gotten renewed attention if it wasn't for the Karen Read case which happened one town over.
Luckily multiple other people have called this particular guy out for such blatantly victim blaming language.
I have a feeling in this trial we're gonna see a lot ot victim blaming and a lot of slut shaming and I know it's going to make me furious.
Ignoring that she was all of 15 when he started abusing her, way to downplay his role in it. Like he hadn't been an active participant in it.
I've also seen multiple people claim she was trying to "baby trap" him as if that somehow excuses murder. It's really disgusting.
I saw someone discussing the Sandra Birchmore case and framing it as "why you shouldn't fool around with a married man" and it made me see red.
